Description
The MEMFlo Flow Transmitter (MFT) is a state-of-the-art, microprocessor based two-wire transmitter with 4-20mA/ 0-5Vdc output, digital flow rate and total flow display. It combines our time-proven variable area technology with a high tech processor and solid state circuitry.
The MEMFlo Flow Transmitter (MFT) is sealed against industrial contamination by a NEMA 4, 12,13 (IP 57/52/54) rated enclosure and is available for either liquid, gas or steam service.
The MFT is capable of calculating and displaying both flow rate and total accumulated flow. The flow rate and total flow can be displayed in any of the user selectable measurement units. The monitor’s large 8 digit numeric LCD makes extended range viewing practical. The second 8 character alphanumeric display provides for selectable units viewing in RUN mode and prompts for variables in PROGRAM mode.
All MFT’s come pre-calibrated from the factory. However, the unit may be adjusted by the user to meet specific system requirements. Calibration parameters are included for:
- Specific gravity compensation (all fluids)
- Viscosity compensation (petroleum-based fluids)
- Pressure and temperature compensation (pneumatic applications)
All meters include an analog output that can be configured for 0-5 Vdc, 0-10 Vdc, or 4-20 mA current loop.
Installation
The MFT installation takes only a few minutes. The MFT is designed to slip over any standard sight tube by sliding the sight tube through the mounting rings on the MFT. A locking nut is tightened to secure the MFT onto the sight tube. The transmitter display can be rotated 360° to assure correct viewing.
Operation
The MFT transmitter has two modes of operation. In the run mode the transmitter will display flow rate, total flow, or toggle back and forth between the two as defined by the display configuration. The programming mode allows the user to change the configuration and adjust the calibration of the meter.
